In Israel, every stone tells a story and at Chai Israel, whether it is by foot, by horse, by jeep, by ATV or even by camel, we leave no stone unturned. On our weekly trips and “Live Israel” excursions, Chai Israel students explore the diverse teva (nature) and geography of the land of Israel. On our overnight journeys and our longer three day “Live Israel” excursions, students and staff develop life-long friendships in some of Israel’s most unique settings. From milking cows on a kibbutz to self defense training at the Gadna army base, students will gather their own personal stories to last a lifetime.

What you’ll experience:
• You’ll hike through Israel’s diverse Teva (nature). Israel is known for its caves, its mountains, its deserts, and valleys. Each with a different terrain and each tells a different story. You’ll see it all on our weekly trips.
• On Chai Israel’s longer “Live Israel” excursions you’ll rest up overnight either under the stars, in a Bedouin tent or in a “luxury” hotel after spending your days traveling, hiking and touring, as we journey to Israel’s famed cities, both ancient and modern.
• Students and staff will develop life-long friendships in some of Israel’s most unique locations. Sometimes around the campfire and sometimes rappelling down a mountain.
• On our Jewish History tours you’ll connect to your heritage by visiting significant sites, both holy and historic. You’ll learn our history at the exact places that witnessed the events that shaped our nation.
